What is this this site all about?
Dear Visitors,
The main aim of this page is to support and accelerate the implementation of the Vidishiqi's community desire to asphalt the 3km-long section road between villages Bare and Vidishiq. This site shall enable the donors monitoring of the progress of this project through its planned phases all the way to the final implementation and beyond. This web space shall also be in anyone's disposition to ask any questions, open and discuss any topics of relevance as well as comment or criticize our work/idea.
Other purposes of this site are:
a) To serve as a contact point for all the Vidishiqi community throughout the world who have otherwise lost touch with each other since before the days of Kosova War;
b) To share some of our history, culture as well as a little entertainment through stories, anecdotes etc of the past of this territory.
Every Vidishiqian believes that asphalting this road, which otherwise is almost unusable, shall serve as the best means to prevent the village from emptying as well as return the village to life it once enjoyed. Even after the Kosova War, due to the vast destruction, the Vidishiqi village is emptying at a scary rate as people are migrating towards the cities due to poor conditions, leaving behind a natural beauty expected to turn into wilderness.
The Vidishiqi village, as most of the Kosova territory, especially the county "Shala e Bajgores", where Vidisihiqi belongs, suffered a destruction of unseen proportions from the Serbian barbaric forces prior to and during the Kosova War of 1999. We do highly appreciate your moral and material support for returning life and prosperity to a village which is otherwise moving towards wilderness. Asphalting this 3km long road is the very first step towards this great goal.
